Elizabeth has been having one of those days where she's just getting nothing done. She doesn't even have all that much to do -- general housekeeping -- but she keeps getting distracted by the other things she hasn't got done and fails to finish (or even start, mostly) absolutely anything.
So she spent an hour organising her kitchen and now she's leaving the rest for later (or tomorrow, depending on how it works out) and she's sitting at a little table in the lobby outside her apartment, visible from the main doors into her little building. She has a glass of water (she's rationing the coffee strictly, though it pains her to do so), and that romance novel she'd never be caught dead reading otherwise.
Music floats down the stairs from the dance studio, where she left it playing to listen to down here. She's going to go out later, to restock and see what the general store has in way of gardening supplies (and maybe gardening directions?) -- there is a small garden out the back, and she figures if she can figure out how to grow some kind of vegetable or fruit, that's...one thing more and less to worry about.
