One thing that hasn't changed about Elizabeth Weir since the accident: she's stubborn. When she sets her mind to something, by God she will get it done. Right now, that something is 'being relatively normal'. Taking firm control of her life and her behaviour.
When she had the time (and inclination for anything more than curling up with a glass of wine and several newspapers), she used to go for walks. It wasn't so much for fitness as it was important not to spend all her time at home getting underfoot in the house.
Of course, when she was at home, 'going for a walk by herself' didn't involve a 6'2" hallucination with his hand on her back, complaining relatively good-naturedly about the lack of a) surfing, b) football and c) music in her 'fantasy world'.
