and if my name is on that list I guess I'll see you soon [Mohinder]

Elizabeth's initial decision to stay in the studio until such time as John died a horrible, hallucinatory death has been dismissed as impractical, among other things. He's...making it harder and harder to ignore him, now that they know (she knows, she reminds herself forcefully) other people can see him, too ( Read more... )

Mohinder, exiting the general store with a carton of orange juice and some microwavable samosas, pauses on the porch to give John a very nervous eyeballing. He could swear he'd seen that guy disappear. The fuck is he playing at?

He nods cautiously at Elizabeth in greeting. "Ms...Weir?" He thinks he remembers her name. He never caught John's, and is ignoring him, although that likely won't work too well, given how pointedly he was staring at John two seconds ago.

"Dr Weir," Elizabeth and John correct in one breath, although Elizabeth is slightly more polite about it. This is more or less typical. She taps her nails on the tupperware in her lap, joining Mohinder in the camp of 'people who are ignoring the obnoxious hallucination'. "I'm sorry, I don't think I caught your name...?"

John, blessedly, has no comment for this. At least -- not yet. He's apparently content to move possessively closer to Elizabeth (who leeeeeeans away from him a little) and make a face that is akin to a really smug tom cat.

"Sorry. Dr. Suresh." He gets called 'Mr. Suresh' often enough that he does look sympathetically contrite. He starts to offer a hand, but aaaaaa, there's a John all over her.

He awkwardly sticks the hand back into his pocket. "I, ah, don't think I've seen you around since...well. Whatever those things were." He is not going to say 'zombies,' dammit. "Are you settling back in all right?"

He debates asking John's name--as long as he's being polite, he should, but Elizabeth looks as annoyed by him as anyone else, so he just gives John another wary sidelong glance.

Elizabeth, both for her own sake and Mohinder's, pretends not to have noticed he was about to offer her his hand. John rests his hand on the porch behind Elizabeth -- apparently he has no intention of introducing himself to Mohinder at this point in time.

"More or less," she says, after a suspicious pause during which John looks ANGELIC, okay, butter wouldn't fucking melt. "Claire and I got the studio tidied up again. I'm not sure what to do about the skylight...bad planning on my part."

"This place is making you hopeless," John mutters.
