The first thing Mel notices about Hell is that it's not completely deserted like most towns she's gone through, but nobody's out on the street. It's just teetering on the edge of darkness, but she can see lights on in a few places--not many, but considering the size of this town and where she came from...shit, she'll take this over total chaos. She doesn't know if there's any gasoline left here, but if she's going to keep going after she stops here, she'll need it. Some places she went to, there was plenty, but as she pulls up in front of what...used to be the gas station, she realizes that, well, she's out of luck here.
Fuck. The black car she's driving is pretty decent, gas-efficient but small (she doesn't need big, big is too slow), but--man. Why couldn't she have stolen one of those hydro cars or whatever the hell? Hindsight is 20/20. Melissa, especially, has perfect vision, when it comes to that sort of thing. Now she's screwed until she figures something out.
She gets out of the car and runs a hand through her hair--the pink is fading toward the bottom, a little, but she's still easy to spot. Pink and platinum blonde's noticeable. Mel slams the car door behind her and leans on it, frowning thoughtfully at the sight in front of her.
Now what?
