It occurs to Elizabeth, after a while, that the military quarantine might've left behind, after their deaths, things worth taking. She's not really got much in the way of intentions towards the weaponry that's likely there, but...there must be something. At the very least, she can go and check it out.
Her first thought, of course, is that she doesn't especially want to go there alone (she's expecting to find bodies, at the very least). Granted, she doesn't want to expose a young girl to that either, but...Claire has likely seen a lot that a girl her age shouldn't have had to by now, and Elizabeth really doesn't want to go and do it on her own. Ignoring John at her side, she goes to knock on Claire's door.
