The general store did not open today. That is not to say you could not go inside if you wanted something. Apparently by this point, Danny has instituted a "pay for it or do me a favor" trust policy, clearly written on those posterboards he was toting around the other day. They say, in fact:

Adam snitches some painkillers from the medical section, and because he's the law-abidin' type, leaves a signed note detailing what all he took and the price.

He eyes Izzy as he leaves. On the one hand, ZOMG OUTSIDERS MUST BE THOROUGHLY INTERROGATED. On the other, she looks like shit warmed over.

He compromises by looking kind of threatening as he walks over.

"Are you okay?"

She blinks at him for quite possibly a few seconds longer than neccessary. Holy crap, it's a person! She hasn't seen a person in....weeks? Days? Something. "I don't know. I couldn't find my car."

Adam wonders if she's drunk. He couldn't really blame her if she were; he's been hitting the bottle pretty heavily himself as of late.

"Where'd you come from?" He doesn't point out that cars are pretty much useless now.

"I don't know." She is, sadly, not drunk. She'll wish she were later, of course, when she finds out what she missed out on. But no. Not at the moment. "We were in an accident, I lost control of the car."

Going out for a daily walk has, alas, not really provided continued rewards of beer, but it has gotten him some action -- shooting things, not the other kind of action -- and, if he had to admit it, the exercise is good for him, even if genetics and time oddities have kept him naturally fitter than most. Anyway, he's out and about now, and... hang on, he recognizes that bedraggled woman.

"What happened to you? Last we'd heard, you and Danny had gotten in an accident, and no one had any idea where you went after that."
