coffee
met up with H at bt panjang plaza last night. bumped into S and L there too. the 4 of us stood there for a good 5 mins catching up with one another.
it has been almost 10 yrs since we graduated from DSS. L is an accountant in one of the listed property developers. S is a stockbroker, getting married soon. she looked radiant together with the sparkling diamond ring on her finger. H is a chemical engineer in a oil & gas consulting firm. i'm a qc analyst in a pharma mfg firm.
sad to admit, i'm the one who's the least well off. all 3 of them are degree graduates. i'm the odd one out. this is probably i'm not as academically inclined and dun put in much effort :P
so what can i do to catch up with them? i already have an idea what's my path ahead. now is to wait for the loose pieces to fall in place. timing, location and the ppl you meet really play a VIP role...
H & I decided to settle down at starbucks. i have avoided coffee for the past 2 to 3 yrs. but somehow i still ordered a hot white chocolate mocha. i dunno why i didn't stop myself either. anyway, i think it was terrible. too sweet for my liking. i diluted it 2x with my water bottle. this shall serve as a reminder not to touch coffee again. if i have to have something at any cafe, gotta remind myself to touch the cakes/muffins only. no coffee/tea except for milo n horlicks.
