spotted the following lines at a bus stop..
i'm an engineering graduate.
i'm a teacher.
i'm a sportsman.
i'm deaf.
but i'm certainly not dumb and mute.
they're written on a picture showing a smiling, tanned, fine looking guy doing rock climbing.
it's an advert sponsored by siemens for the hearing disabled if i'm not wrong.
seeing this advert makes me feel how fortunate i'm. i'm not handicapped in any way but i'm not happy with myself.
think it's human nature. when i feel down, i like to complain. i grumble about life sometimes. my job, my academic qualifications, my salary, my family, my financial situation, my looks, basically anything i can find fault with..
but that's only happens when i'm tired..
it's true that your happiness is created by yourself. it does not depend on other people and what circumstances you're in..
when i saw that advert, i told myself, "he's deaf yet he can achieve so many things". and they're no easy tasks. the advert may not be protraying a true story but there're such people in reality. think helen keller.. *grin*
so it made me at least a little more determined to acheive whatever goals i have for now..
