Ride for the roses 2011
Well as some may already know, this year I have opted to join in with the "ride of the roses", a charity event for funding of the cancer fund in which people are taking long distance bike trips over 3 different distances.
I will be doing the 50 KM trip, so that does require some preperation.
As my team is commercially sponsored we got bikes, tickets for drinks/snacks, and a t-shirt for the day.
These are professional sport bikes, so that did mean we had a bit of "testing" as it's quite different from a normal bike.
And must say, they ride very well, only problem remains that they are uncomfortable if you have to stop or switch to the brakes a lot.
My brother is not going, so the regular RPG/D&D sunday will go on without me.
I'm sure they can survive without a cleric for a while.
I hope to have a report on that trip after as well, but probably be too tired ;)
