The above was said to me by a slightly crazy elderly homeless man on the bus this afternoon. I liked him.
So, Famous Foods either doesn't have vanilla beans (as claimed by one of their staff) or keeps them in the deli (as told to me by a friend afterwards). WTF? How does this make sense for what is supposedly the first natural foods grocery store in Vancouver? Even Safeway carries vanilla in bean form for fuck's sake.
And the deli?
I give up, I'm making Anthony get me the beans.
