This is odd. I went there, and the door doesn't open for me. *sigh* I tried to clean my site history -didn't help. There's still that depressing 'Do Not Disturb' sign. What should I do? Wait?
By the way, remember that Harry Potter and the Half Loved Prince (note: 'loved', not 'blood' -or was there a writing error?) was the working title of CoS!
There's this chat interview with JKR in 2002 where she mentions this. Here's a quote:
Q: What was the original working title of Chamber of Secrets? JKR: Harry Potter and the Half Loved Prince. I quite liked that title, unfortunately the story bore no relation whatsoever to the title by the time I'd finished.
I remember there was a discussion about this title a while ago at FAP. So, could this one really be the new title? I remember we came into a conclusion at that FAP discussion that the title must mean Tom Riddle. Maybe Salazar was of royal blood? ;)
Oh! That was a problem some people had when it first went online. I think you have to clear your cookie cache? Erk, I'm not sure, because I'm not very good with computers.
Thank-you so much for that info! I'm pretty sure that must be why the name sounds so familar to me. And if there's a good CoS connection, then I really think the title is referring to Tom. Ooh, this title is really growing on me :)
I really hope that if that's the real title it would mean Tom... But I'm a bit worried about what JKR meant when she said in that chat interview that "The story (CoS) bore no relation whatsoever to the title by the time I'd finished." Could this sentence actually exclude Tom?
I don't want this prince to be any new Gary Stu character...
Well, she's said that we'll hear more about circumstances surrounding Tom's birth in 6. So perhaps a lot of this backstory was cut from CoS, and will be in book 6 instead? It could be that she simply moved a plot point from CoS to book 6.
Hm. I'm holding on to the idea that the prince is Tom too. Then again I was convinced Arabella Figg was the DADA prof, so what do I know? :)

Ooh, that sounds very believable. Good thinking! Ah, to hear more about Tom's back-story would be so great...
