I don't do many memes, but this seems like a laugh and gratuitous comments are always good. Gacked from doubleentendre7!

Give me 1000 comments in this entry. Or whatever, really. YOU, in particular, don't have to supply the whole 1000, but a tiny contribution would be nice. Then let me know if you post this in your journal and I'll return the favor.Tell me ( Read more... )

Make it clear why you think Kat & Alfie should stay together.

Can I make it clear I have no idea who Kat & Alfie are? *puzzled*

Kat and Alfie are the love story of Eastenders (which is a British soap). They were recently blackmailed by her Evil Gangster Ex-Boyfriend, who Kat jilted at the altar several months ago. He said: give me your money, or I will keel Alfie dead! But Kat, because Kat is a) poor and b) not terribly bright, decided to sleep with him instead.

Alfie found out, of course, and the end of their marriage is nigh. It's all terribly angsty and sad and woe :( *sniff*

Wah, poor Alfie! For his not-too-bright girlfriend & the fact that his name is 'Alfie'

These soaps are terribly amusing, I must watch! *wonders if they play Eastenders on American TV*

It's fabulous! I never know whether to laugh or cry at half the episodes, but it's very addictive. The plots are not as ridiculous as some of those American daytime soaps, but fun anyway.

And his full name is actually Alfie Moon ... <3!

*dies of laughter* Alfie Moon? The poor man! Oh, god, that must be terribly traumatizing for a kid to grow up as 'Alfie Moon'! Unless that's an actual common name over there? Here-- you're Alfie Moon? You're being beaten up every day!

You say no ridiculous plots? I quote you:
"They were recently blackmailed by her Evil Gangster Ex-Boyfriend, who Kat jilted at the altar several months ago. He said: give me your money, or I will keel Alfie dead! But Kat, because Kat is a) poor and b) not terribly bright, decided to sleep with him instead."

*coughs*

Breaking in here to say: check your PBS schedule! It's on my PBS stations a few times a week at 11pm, and I *know* it's on at 5pm on Sundays because we usually leave the TV on as we putter, and the opening theme has us scurrying from all corners of the place to change the channel (me, I couldn't care less as it's still better than American soaps in the background, but the mother and sisters are dedicated Corrie people and refuse to have it on).

*grins* It's soap opera loyalty at its best!

Must look at PBS schedule then! I must see the man that is Alfie Moon!
