Okay, so I finally got to see Succession and Reunion, and here are my thoughts on them.
Okay, so I watched them one after the other, from 1 until 2 in the morning, so the two episodes have run together.
Firstly, the laugh! Guh! That's all I have to say on that. Sure, I'd seen that clip, but it has such a bigger impact when it's viewed in context. And that suit that he wears when he goes to get his gold - out of this world.
I loved Sark's reaction to seeing the gold, the total disbelief on his face, but carefully veiled as always.
As for Reunion, I really loved this episode. I know everyone was thinking that Sark was a totally useless spy in Mexico, but as soon as I saw Sydney walk in and Sark look up, I swear he was rolling his eyes at that terrible outfit she was wearing! And he totally noticed where she was going. Sark bringing up the name Medusa - I'm sorry, but *no one* says, "So, it's a pretty good name, Medusa, isn't it?" (or thereabouts) without having an ulterior motive! Sark was being very obvious about letting Sydney know the details.
And, "I looked for you at the ball." Hehe! I just loved that line, it was so Sark! When she shot him and he was standing behind the bulletproof glass, the look on his face clearly said, "Honey, you've done this before, and it didn't work then. How stupid do you think I am?"
I loved that way that when that Russian guy (the bald one with the glasses. He wasn't pretty so I can't remember his name!) said he was staying there to kill Sydney. I could see Sark mentally shrugging and rolling his eyes before he left him to it!
As for the hair, I love it! I have to say I hated it when I saw pictures of it, but as soon as I actually saw a clip of Sark, it totally worked. I miss the long hair (because of the running my hands through it factor) but he looks good! :)
Also, I loved Jack in it. There was a line that he had in Succession that I can't for the life of me remember now, but it had me laughing out loud.
And Weiss? Aww! He's my new cuddly toy. He's such a sweetheart. When he gave Sydney "Alice in Wonderland" I nearly cried. It was so sweet.
I do have one query. What kind of accent is Lauren meant to have? It's really puzzling me, I can't work it out! Speaking of accents, DA outdid himself, I thought. He managed to keep his accent whilst yelling, which I know is really difficult. My only quibble (and it's not his fault, since it's a line, and therefore the scriptwriters' fault) is that he said "elevator" instead of "lift." Now, I sometimes think "elevator" but never in my life have I said it, even when I lived in the States and had a horrendous American accent. (I don't hate American accents, but mine was awful, it was a terrible mixture of Southern and something else, added to my squeaky 7 year old voice! Ugh, I don't want to think about it!)
Okay, random thoughts over!
Random rant now! What the hell has happened to winter? I leave my flat wearing my wooly jumper and a cosy coat (after all, it is November in Scotland) and it's bloody boiling! I practically melted walking to uni!
Also, there are far too many people here! All I wanted was to get a drink from the Union, and it took forever! I was all for yelling at them all to get out of my way! Argh!
*deep breaths*
Okay, I'm fine now. Thinking about Sark has done me good. :) And since I hear that there's no episode next week (bad for all you people that actually get to see it straight away) that's good too, since it means it won't take me as long to catch up. :)
I'd better go now, since I've tonnes to do and very little time to do it.
Bye!
