Snerched from kyizi:

What's the last thing you wrote?
A few paragraphs of Chapter 14 of Wood & Wild.

Was it any good?
Well, no-one's read those paragrpahs yet, but Lynne and loriel_eris certainly liked the bits that went before it.

What's the first thing you ever wrote that you still have?
I have a story that I wrote and never finished about a family that lived in the country and how discovered that one of their horses was the foal of a famous racehorse. It was called "Nature's Way" (the story, not the horse - he was called "Tom" and then they found out his real name was "Escape") and I typed it up on my father's electric typewriter very patiently. And isn't it sad that I can actually remember the names! Fanfic-wise, I wrote a fic based in the Trixie Belden universe (how many people know what I'm talking about? *g*), which I actually managed to finish!

Was it any good?
Well, considering I was about eight when I wrote it, I'd say yes! The Trixie Belden fanfic, well, I was a little older, and I suppose the only good thing that can be said about it is that it was finished, I did actually try and get some mystery into it, and I went into a lot of detail (too much, in fact, I was a little obsessed when I was younger!).

Write poetry?
Not since I was about eight.

Angsty poetry?
Nope, poems about snowflakes, and dolphins, and happy things like that!

Favorite genre of writing?
General drama, humour, I suppose, with a little romance on the side.

Most fun character you ever wrote?
Either Fiona Wild, or Draco Malfoy, he's a blast to write!

Most annoying character you ever wrote?
I can't really think of one, actually, although I would say Anya from Buffy, since when I was writing her, I didn't really know the character, and couldn't really get to grips with her style.

Best plot you ever wrote?
I can't tell you because it's in the future! Lynne, loriel_eris and lollygagjill know about it - in fact, it made loriel_eris cry - but < lj user="kyizi"> can't know, and I don't want anyone else to either, but it's fabby! I love it to bits!

Coolest plot twist you ever wrote?
Umm, I don't think I've written one yet. I've got one planned out, but it technically hasn't been written yet. And, again, I can't talk about it!

How often do you get writer's block?
Too bloody often! I've got it at the moment, and it's driving me around the bend, since I've got the time to write now!

How do you fix it?
Watch films, read books, or write another scene from something else, to get the juices flowing again. Although it doesn't always work!

Write fan fiction?
LoL! Do I even need to answer this? Yes, I do!

Do you type or write by hand?
I prefer to type, but at the moment, I'm of the mind to write by hand. Sometimes the thoughts come out better on paper. I admit that it's a pain to type up, but at least then it's there in real form, as opposed to virtual. I'm back to writing on paper and parchment soon, though.

Do you save everything you write?
Haven't thrown or deleted anything yet!

Do you ever go back to an old idea long after you abandoned it?
Sometimes, but they're my original ideas, which have taken a back seat to my fanfic.

What's your favorite thing that you've written?
Well, Wood & Wild definitely, and I really quite like my Farscape fic, "Put Her Down, You're Attracting Attention!". Saying that, I like What Stands Between Us, which is joint with kyizi and If I Ever Lose My Faith In You which is a companion piece to kyizi's Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic. Argh! I can't decide, they're all different, and I like them all!

What's everyone else's favorite thing that you've written?
Wood & Wild, without a doubt.

Do you even show people your work?
Yes, I like to get feedback before I publish it on the Net.

Who's your favorite constructive critic?
That's hard, because I have three, who are good for different things! Lynne is a great nit-picker, loriel_eris is very good at keeping me in canon, and kyizi is part good idea provider and part grammar corrector (I say only part grammar, since I do most of my own grammar. I can safely say without modesty that I'm the best at grammar out of the four of us!).

Do you have a web site for your writings?
I did, but it's down at the moment. You can access them from kyizi's Enchantment site. There should be links there.

How many writing projects are you working on right now?
About three.

Do you want to write for a living?
I'm not sure whether I could cope with the deadlines. I'd rather write for pleasure.

Have you ever written something for a magazine or newspaper?
No

Have you ever won an award for your writing?
No

Ever written something in script or play format?
Yes

What are your five favorite words?
I am tired, bog off!

Do you ever parody?
Don't have the talent for it.

What's your favorite thing to parody?
Well, either Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, if I could!

Do you actually like that thing, or are you spitefully making fun of it?
I love them! I don't think you could write a proper parody if you didn't.

Do you ever write based on yourself?
They may initially be vaguely based on me, but they very quickly turn into their characters. So far, none of them have done anything remotely like what I have done in my life!

What character that you've written most resembles yourself?
Resembles looks-wise, I would say Nareia, personality-wise, I suppose it would be Fiona Wild but she's not that close.

Where do you get ideas for your other characters?
I have no idea, most of the time. They just occur to me.

Do you ever write based on your dreams?
Yes, sometimes.

Do you favor happy endings, sad endings, or cliffhangers?
I like cliffhangers in the middle of things, but I'm a happy ending kind of person, even if I've tortured my characters to get there.

Have you ever written based on an artwork you've seen?
No

Are you concerned with spelling and grammar as you write?
Yes, I'm very aware of it. I correct as I go, most of the time.

Does music help you write?
Definitely. I listen to music that I relate to a certain character when I'm writing that character.

Are people surprised and confused when they find out you write well?
I don't know. I don't think so, but that may because I have a good imagination. Haven't a clue!

Quote something you've written. The first thing to pop into your mind.

Oh bloody hell! Okay:

It won't be word for word, since I'm on loriel_eris's computer.

'Fiona whispered to Morna as she walked past, "Merry Christmas to you too."

She had the pleasure of seeing her sister blush in embarrassment before Fiona took her seat.'

Chapter 14 of Wood & Wild
Am not going to write any more on the grounds that I can't remember any more offhand, and also, no-one has read this bit yet, so I don't want to spoil it for anyone!

Am very tired now, so am going to bed. Managed to locate my house-elf (she'd hidden away under the kitchen table) and my bed is lovely and toasty now.
