Movie review and randomness

Okay, first of all, for those of you that might be interested, I'm hoping to start Chapter 14 of Wood & Wild tonight, fingers crossed. It's another complicated chapter to write, so I don't know how long it will take me, though.

And now, as you will know if you read yesterday's entry, I went to see Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind yesterday. Here's my spoilery-ish

Well, I got almost straight away that the beginning was at a later date than the rest of the film, simply because I knew the premise of the film (ie: Jim Carrey gets his memory erased of his girlfriend, because she's had her memories of him erased).

It was pretty easy to understand, the erasing of Jim Carrey's character, Joel's memories was well done, and Kate Winslet, who played Clemantine, the girlfriend, was really good. I was expecting Elijah Wood to be in it more (he was playing one of the technicians who was involved in erasing Joel and Clemantine's memories, and then went out with Clemantine, pretending to be Joel). I thought the story was going to involve the fact that there was this guy impersonating Joel to get his girlfriend was going to be a bigger plot-point, but it wasn't. Not that that was bad. Elijah Wood was fabulous in it - there's one bit that completely cracked me up. (I'm not going to tell you about it, because it's worth the wait - especially if you've seen the Graham Norton in New York episode with Elijah Wood.)

The ending was really good - it was such a hopeful film. It's not a typical rom-com film at all, the sub-plot with Tom Wilkinson and Kirsten Dunst makes you think.

My only issue with it was that the supporting cast weren't used enough. In all fairness, we're basically seeing it from Joel's point of view, and are in his dreams for most of the time, so we're only seeing people that he knows well, but even so.

I would recommend seeing it, even ifyou're not into rom-coms, because, as I said, it's not a normal one at all.

Well, I watched the beginning of Stargate SG-1 Season 3 last night. Managed the first 3 episodes before falling asleep.

I think loriel_eris, who's sitting beside me, is about to post a meme, so I might attach one to the end of this post, because I'm bored, and don't want to do any work! Okay, she's not, but here it is anyway:
