I saw his obit in the NY Times on Friday and immediately thought of you.

That's ok. Although the deeds are done and things seem finalized by the strong punctuation of death, long will we be going over the range of events past, understanding what we can when we can.

At this point I must admit that while I've long known of his writing I've yet to read him. Those damned obits give me info and opportunity to change that.
