Ok, it's been a while since I posted... maybe even 5 months or so.

I'm feeling shattered at the moment, a combination of not getting over the jet lag very quickly, and irresponsible living. We've been having a Kevin Smith film-fest the last few days which hasn't helped, we really need an early night. I love his movies though, and just found out that he's making Clerks II.

We had a fantastic time in NY/NJ, I was really bummed coming home, I really like S&V, we're thinking about catching up again some time later in the year. The roads are just damn crazy over there though, road rage takes on a whole new meaning, and no-one pays the slightest attention to the "No-Honk" rules in NYC.

I took a lot of photos, I really love having my new camera, and it was great to have a decent opportunity to use it. Unfortunately we couldn't use it at the shooting range we went to, which is a pity, cause I look so cool with a gun in my hand :) It was a bit freaky at first, but after the first couple of rounds, it was just loads of fun, and then when I moved up to the 40 calibre, it was even easier, much smoother and easy to squeeze off a quick fire of 5 shots or so. My accuracy even surprised me.

Gambling was fun, although technically I didn't spend any money there, instead I got robbed in the bars, paying $16 for two beers, I guess somebody has to pay for the skantily clad cocktail waitresses.

Food was amazing, although portion sizes were frightening, and it didn't help that S knows just where to get the most enormous, and probably unhealthy food. I had a calzone from a place in NYC, which was like eating spaghetti and meatballs in dough with loads of cheese, for breakfast. We ate a fair bit of pizza, and also really top steaks, and lobster, and subs from the Whitehouse in Atlantic City. The Whitehouse is the sort of place no tourist would likely happen across, a chaotic diner with locals queueing up for subs, while the walls are covered in photos of famous people who have eaten there, including the Beatles, Sammy Davis Jr, and loads of others that I recognised but now can't remember.

Well I best be going so I can regain some energy after posting, and save some for later.
