Plenty of things happen. The story always moves forward.
Every once in a while I think of something I'm critical of. The music, for example, can be trite and violently unsubtle--stupid ticking whenever Sylar's around. And I get annoyed with boy-hiding-subterfuge, because you just know everything's going to come out inconveniently. But hey, they got that over with this episode.
The other thing is, if this plague is so dangerous, why wasn't it going to happen in the bomb future? I guess if the virus mutates from Nikki. But this week's Heroes episode gave us so many important moments: Cop Psychic facing down his feelings for his dad while being a caring father, Suresh wondering where the moral course lies--because maybe Bob isn't evil--Peter taking a second whack at the slowly-becoming-a-hero bit, and the absolute masterstroke tying Hiro's line to the main thread. So Claire's going to live forever? I don't think she and Adam will be hooking up, and Peter's already out because of the whole Uncle thing, leaving her prospective partners rather low in attendance. But hey, she's got eternity to wait for another regenerating man, right?
I just get the sense that the writers of Heroes know where they're going a lot more than the writers of Lost. I know, I know, three more seasons of Lost and we're at the end, but could they maybe have compressed it?
