Oh, I'm convinced Eiji totally knew what he was doing. He justt thought it would be amusing. ;)
...Since this is All Your Fault and all, I actually felt kind of bad about the lack of Kirihara. Which is why this wrote itself in my head while I was walking to uni today.
OMAKE: Once More, With Akaya
Kirihara watched Marui, who had fallen asleep - or possibly passed out - on Niou's shoulder in the seat across the aisle from him.
"You know," he said thoughtfully to Jackal who was sitting next to him. "A normal person would have complained about never wanting to eat again after a competition like that. Marui-sempai arranges a rematch."
Jackal shrugged. "A normal person, maybe. Look around, Akaya. Do you see anyone you'd classify as sane here?"
Kirihara frowned and did as Jackal suggested. "Niou-sempai, maybe," he decided.
Niou, who had been staring out of the window, snapped to attention and leaned forward to stare at Kirihara so fast that Marui's head fell off his shoulder and down behind his back.
And Niou is comparatively sane indeed. Jackal probably is too, but I think he'd have to come across as at least a little strange to the rest of them on account of cultural differences.
