Dioramas and beading helenv1 September 28 2007, 17:09:03 UTC
I'm a little confused, again, even more, as usual. We were talking about beading and you are posting pictures of dioramas. Beading and embroidery are my pastimes because I can do them in a motorhome while bouncing around the country. I do some embroidery while we are driving but usually just appreciate the scenery and work when we stop. I bead when we are entirely stopped because I have images of beads bouncing into slideout mechanisms in my nightmares.

However, painting miniatures and making dioramas to display them in is my PASSION but I cannot make dioramas in a motorhome and painting is difficult there. It time to spread all of my stuff out to paint and the motorhome still moves a bit when my loving spouse walks around so I only paint miniatures when we are parked for a week or longer and that rarely happens. As most of you know, my darling and I retired in May 2005 and are traveling around the continental USA in a motorhome. We spent most of this summer in Canada and went all the way to Labrador. It's fun and we are having quite an adventure but the miniatures and dioramas will have to wait until we get another house--without wheels--perhaps in a couple of years. So I embroider and bead....for now.

I sent Jenna some pictures of beading projects so perhaps she will find time to post them. She is busy at work so I don't want to impose but it would be nice to be able to share them with you. I am a dunderhead when it comes to LiveJournal and don't always have Internet access as we travel but I love to hear from my dearest daughter and her friends. Love, JennMom

I adore you and your befuddlement. Not a dunderhead at all. You don't want to know how long it took me to figure out how to do italics and cut tags and post to a community.

Besides, you don't need to. You have me.

Your next post (the one on top of this one, if you click on your own "recent entries" link) is the beadwork. I just got all enthusiastic about showing off the diorama stuff. The only pictures I have of the harem are the unfinished ones.
