Secrets of the Aegean Apocalypse
Another interesting, recommended documentary on the Aegean world, this one focusing on the destructions of 1200 B.C. A good chunk of this program is spent exploring the hilltop settlements of Crete, including Karfi, mentioned at length as the ultimate refuge of Dikte and Tripodiskos in Chapter 10 of Knossos. Some knowledgeable talking heads, such as Eric Cline, author of the exhaustively researched and informative book 1177 B.C.: The Year Civilization Collapsed, and some excellent dramatic recreations of Bronze Age warrior gear.
