All About Elektra
Followers of my Orestes Twitter account know that at least half of Orestes' posts center around his hardcore, homicidal sister Elektra. She's crazier, bloodthirstier, and more formidable than he is. She collects monogrammed sharp objects, generates mass carnage whenever she shops at Wal*Mart Argos, and considers chasing husband Pylades around the citadel with an axe an act of foreplay. She's also the one forcefeeding the Hebrew scribes at Yom Kippur and leaving her various snakes around the citadel for Orestes to find. Note: Orestes died from snake bite, so naturally he loathes the creatures.
So why doesn't Elektra have her own Twitter account? For a time, I toyed with that, but soon abandoned the project when I realized she isn't as funny up close. She needs straight man Orestes to act as both filter and commentator, reporting while leaving the rest up to the audience's imagination.
