Laundry lunacy
There are few things about running a household that make me want to scream and tear out my hair more comprehensively than this:
Emptying out the girls' overflowing laundry basket all over the kitchen floor, only to discover a whole load of neatly folded clean clothes stashed at the bottom presumably because they couldn't be bothered to put them away and thought it would be easier to let Mum wash them all over again...
I know my children aren't the only ones who do this! Why on earth is it easier to dump the clothes back in the washing basket than it is to take the same amount of time to dump them on a shelf in the wardrobe?! Why oh why?!
(And no I didn't wash them again. Folded clothes are now in a neat pile waiting to be re-presented to the girls. And no doubt when I tell them where I found them, they will both look at me as though I am speaking another language...)
