I've been really excited about Toy Story 3 coming out and had decided ages ago that I would take all the children to see it at the cinema on my birthday evening (I thought that was the release date but it seems to be out earlier than that). Just gone to the cinema website to book it and they are only showing it in 3D here in Crewe.
All well and good as far as I'm concerned, but the girls with their albinism can't view 3D films properly. Last time I took L3 to see the orthoptist, she did the usual 3D test with her (which as usual she failed) and I asked about taking her to a 3D film. 'No, don't do it', said the orthoptist. 'It will just look as though everything is jumping around on the screen and it will look horrible'.
Fair enough and it will probably be the same for One, so I had decided to forgo the 3D for the children's sake and take them to see it in 2D! Only it's not on in 2D, gah!
Looks like I will be thinking up a different birthday treat for us all to enjoy. How irritating!
