Laundry, mostly

Well this weekend I have mostly washed, hung out, got in again, finished off on radiators, and ironed. Then I have put everything away properly, doing a massive cull of all of the children's clothes while I was at it. Everything they have now is what they will actually wear, and all either hung up or folded nicely on shelves or in drawers.

Oh, apart from the fact that while putting clothes away I found all the other dirty clothes on their floors which they had missed, claiming to have brought down absolutely everything. I now have about three more washloads to do and there is a huge likelihood that lots of that will be culled too once it is clean and dry. They really did all have a ridiculous amount of clothes, and all hand me downs! Thing is, I accept all the bags of clothes gratefully, but then never get around to decluttering their older things, so instead of refreshed wardrobes, they just have augmented wardrobes, over and over again. And because Two is so skinny, he never seems to grow out of anything, so all the stuff I have got rid of from his room still fits perfectly, despite him having been wearing most of it for two or three years! At least with the girls they grow out of stuff so it is easy to decide what to pass on!

One and L3 have plenty of pants and socks now. Two has plenty of pants but I have only managed to find three pairs of his socks so we may need to add to those if I don't find any more lurking.

I am absolutely exhausted now from doing all of that. And I need to do college work tonight, before tomorrow, which is the direct result of total procrastination, which I am regretting bitterly now. As I do every time, but never learn...
