I loved my school placement today - and almost know all the children's names in the class I'm working in now. I was so worried I'd never know who they all were but it has happened more easily than I was expecting. Phew! Also I decided to order myself a school dinner today, seeing as I didn't have enough food in the house to make my usual pasta salad last night. It was a great success and I think I'll do the same every Wednesday from now on - that way I know I've had a hot meal just the same as the children and it will save me the effort of cooking pasta on a Tuesday night ready for the next day!
Warm fuzzy quote of the day, from E:
"Mrs P...... - I really like it when you come here!"
:-D
I've also decided to return to Tesco deliveries again for the duration of the course. I simply don't have enough time in the week to go to Tesco myself and it takes the pressure off. Anything that takes the time pressure off me at the moment has to be a good thing. I'm actually waiting for this week's order right now, which should be here by six o'clock - I'm hoping it comes soon because it will contain the items we need for tonight's tea!
I have college work to do tonight now as a result of some observations I was doing in the class today, for an assignment. Need to write it all up before I forget what I saw! Sadly I also have a headache and tummy cramps - that and assignments don't really mix, but I will do my best!
One has had her bike out of the garage the last couple of days, for the first time in forever; they had a talk on cycle safety at school by the head boy and girl, and it has inspired her to start cycling again. She's started carefully cycling on the roads nearby now, practising her signalling, with a view to going a little further when she feels more confident, and eventually cycling to school. I am all for a bit of independence and fresh air and exercise so am encouraging her and she is loving it. Hurrah!
Keep forgetting to say that on Monday at college the fire alarm went off in the middle of a lesson. I caused hilarity by completely ignoring my handbag and phone when I left the building, but made quite sure to take my cup of tea outside with me - priorities! *grin*
The printer cartridges I ordered the other day from Amazon arrived today, and pants pants pants I have managed to order the wrong size, so now I need to work out how to send them back and get the right ones! Thought I was being so very organised too...
