Today...
... has been pretty much perfect from start to finish. :-)
Off to bed now, feeling relaxed, contented and peaceful. We have no plans for tomorrow at all so are going to make it a pyjama day with lots of slobbing around, so I'll hopefully make some time to write about our Christmas. The children have been fabulous; I'm so, so proud of them. And I'm proud of myself too, for making everything happen today. It all ran so smoothly. And Christmas dinner, while simple, was tremendous! My mum is also completely fab for doing so much washing up so that I didn't have to. Every time I finished with a pan, I would turn round two minutes later and it would be clean and on the drainer.
It is an enormous confidence booster to know that everyone, from the children, to Mum, to Tim who joined us for three hours of it, to myself, had a good and enjoyable time, and that I basically was solely responsible for making sure everything happened. I can do this. I did do it! And I did it better than well! *big smile*
I have had some lovely presents, despite the fact I really wasn't expecting anything. The general theme was chocolate and tea - people know me so well! I will be penning thank you cards very soon, because One bought me TEA notecards! She couldn't have picked anything I would have liked better! :-D
