Little One's homework this weekend was as follows:
Write a poem, (like the 'Monster' one we did) about a member of your family.
E.g. My dog, who is called Bailey, eats dog biscuits,
However, she prefers the cat's food.
My dog, who has soft fur, likes lying on the sofa,
Although she isn't allowed to.

Little One came up with this rather apt poem:
My Mum by Little One, Age 10, for homework
My mum absolutely adores tea.
However, she detests it with milk in.
My mum is always running about doing jobs.
Although she has a lie-in on Sundays.
My mum really enjoys knitting.
Nevertheless, she pokes people with her needles. [Ahem. I often THREATEN to poke people with my needles - but have never actually done so...]
My mum's hair is cherry red.
Despite it actually being dye.
