In which I rave about my new phone (again)

Ok this entry is going to be more than just about raving about my phone, but may I just say what nice photos I took with it today when I was camera-less in Chester? And though my previous phone took photos, the quality was dreadful, and they were an absolute swine to get off the camera and on to the computer. With this phone it is a piece of cake to do that, and so I have got four bang-up-to-date photos of the children in the amphitheatre up on Facebook. :-)

Tim was working in Chester this morning and we went on the train later on and met him after he'd finished (in the amphitheatre, and we were there first, hence the photographing!). We then all went to Pizza Hut to partake of their 'all you can eat' weekday lunchtime buffet, as a sort of celebration of the end of the holidays and the start of the school term, and to wish all the children luck for the coming school year. It was lovely, though the music playing in there was almost so loud we couldn't hear ourselves think or speak!

I do love our family railcard too - turns out that getting myself and the two older children (L3 is under five so doesn't pay) a return to Chester from here cost about the same as a return for Tim on his own cost earlier on! Must plan some weekend day trips before the weather turns too disgusting...

Despite the lovely day out, the children, especially L3, have been rather hard work again today - we are all SO ready for school to begin; only two more sleeps! - and by the time they all went to bed, and Tim had gone out to a meeting, I was gibbering slightly! I cured myself beautifully by taking a cup of tea, some cheesy doritos and two books up to our room, grabbing my duvet off the bed and curling up under it, whence I drank the tea, ate the doritos, finished off my current book (Last Chance Saloon by Marian Keyes, which is superb - a reread) and then read the whole of another one (Candyfloss by Jacqueline Wilson, which I really enjoyed; L1 brought it home from the library yesterday and I hadn't read it before). Very restful.

Tomorrow we will get out the school uniforms and bags etc. and make sure they are ready for Thursday morning. Soon I will be counting down the hours instead of the days! :-)

days out, family, children, books, food, photos, school, phone
