maturity
oooohhhhhhhhh crap. i just finally got around to investigating the presents that've been under the tree for a week or two. this year, my parents put a present for me in a GIFT BAG!! do you understand what this means?? do you know how hard it is for me right now not to go into the living room and just push the tissue paper to the side to see what they got me? i used to be one of those kids who would (very carefully) partially unwrap her gifts early to see what they were. it was easier when mom and dad used wrapping paper you could see through if you tried hard enough. the past few years, i haven't done that because a)i haven't been home until it was almost time to open them anyway and b)they've been books and/or cds, which you can tell just by the feel/look of them, and i'm satisfied knowing that much about them. and i suppose c)i'm older and more mature now:) how many days till christmas? about nine, since our immediate family celebration is the 26th. no materialism...no materialism...
