oh my gosh:) that was so unexpected and funny. especially since gender stereotyping seems to run rampant here. but it's different, my students would tell me. the home is the woman's rightful place, duh. and of course everyone wants to get married. not getting married just isn't an option. but their women's lib is the idea that they might get to pick their own husbands:) or date who and when they want to. a few rebels like giver also go against the idea that women should stay in the home if that's financially possible. i'm exaggeration a little. but not that much.
i want to post more of my favorite bits from movie reviews later. but for now, it'll be all i can do to read through all of them and mark the students for credit before grades are due.
