counting down, for better or worse
only 20 days left till the last day of class i anticipate having. we might have class the next week too. i'm not sure. but it doesn't matter too much. i haven't decided yet if i want the last week of class to be finals (i think for that, i'll do a role playing game i did first semester again) or parties. do i want to have a party in each class or one big party for all six classes? and i bite at planning big parites like this, so i don't know what we'll do at said party. they already told me they want to dance, but if they're going to dance, it's going to be to my dance music, not theirs. which is maybe me being silly, but come on. i know half the fun of being at dances is hearing songs you love and everyone singing along and being goofy and whatever. but, but... *sigh*. maybe i'll give in and play the music they know and love. anyway, then there'll be the matter of the 100 yuan plus i'll have collected from them by then for use in the party. do i want to cook some sort of snack food for them? am i capable of cooking for 250 students? especially with limited supplies. buzhidao. i'm also thinking more about how i'm going to give away the rest of my stuff here. i'll have over 100 cds to give away. at least a dozen books. some clothes. lots of magazines and newspapers. i don't know how i'll decide to give this out.
33 days till my contract here is up. 47 days till i fly out of china. 81 days till i get back to america. my adventure is not yet through. not by a long shot. but my teaching is almost done. sad.
