Where I really went...

A five mile walk around the local lanes which I did on Monday. It's not autumn yet, but there are intimations that the autumn will soon be upon us. The ivy is starting to flower, the blackberries are beginning to ripen and there are hazelnuts and beechnuts lying in the road.

You don't usually think of plants moving, but the wind was strong and these blackberries were thrashing around in the wind. Every so often, there would be a lull and I had to grab the chance to capture them.

I posted a photo of the cuckoo pint berries at the bottom of our back garden. Here are lots more in a hedgerow!

Looking back the way I had come. It's very pleasant walking along these little back lanes. You hardly ever see a car.

The furthest point on my walk, looking across the pasture at the hills at the eastern end of the Cadair Idris range.

And in other news my Dad continues to improve. The antibiotics must be kicking in and reducing the infection because my brother reported that Dad is much less confused today.

And in other other news, I am just about ready for Worldcon. I have just the last few items to pack before setting off tomorrow, but I have been through the programme and short-listed the items I like the look of. I've also topped up my Oyster card and checked how to get to where I need to go.

London, here I come! :)
