Good news: two more weeks of classes.
Bad news: in those two weeks I have to do a quiz, a paper, a scene, a monologue, a skirt, finish a photostory, and a number of other things that I'm probably forgetting right now.
I got a 22 out of 25 in my ten page paper. Not bad at all, but it's the same grade I got in my last paper and I really thought this one was better. I went to my Astronomy lab TA and told him about the missing pages in my lab manual, he was nice enough to give me the pages and an extension till Monday :) That's that when it comes to Astronomy labs, and since the class is a total joke, I'm pretty much done with all the work. One down, four to go.
I'm going to this family gathering thing with my photostory's subject. If I'm lucky that will be it, and I will be done with that project (which is our final project) and all I'll have left in that class will be real minor stuff like editing and, I think, a test (which shouldn't be too hard). After that I have to go meet my scene partner for even more rehearsal....actually he didn't rehearse yesterday, we just talked about our shared woes of being poor at Carolina and flying Stand By. Not good, since we only have a couple of weeks to memorize the WORST scene with the WORST lines in the history of theater.
I bought a really fun fabric for my skirt (for my sewing class)on Friday when we had our field trip to JoAnn's. Beside buying the pattern for the skirt, I also bought some patterns to make these cute tops, and I'm hoping I will be inspired enough over the summer and actually make them. I bought fabric, interfacing, thread, and some other stuff. Also, since my mom works at JoAnn, she gave me this keychain card that supposedly gives me a discount. Sure enough, I saved 5 bucks. yay! I just cannot wait for this semester to be over. This has been such a busy, stressful semester that I think I might be slightly proud of myself for actually surviving it :)
Momma called yesterday to remind me that she needs my car starting next Tuesday...so therefore I will be stranded at my place the last week of classes and exams. I hope to have all my projects which involve me going somewhere done by then. Gas prices are really, really putting a dent in my pocket. Payed 2.25 a gallon yesterday, which is rather outrageous. This made even worst by the fact that my car is one gas-guzzling beast (alright, maybe not like an SUV but still...) I curse the day I bought a V6. That's one of the reasons I'm trying to transfer from the Wolf Camera in Raleigh to the one in Chapel Hill. Last summer I didn't mind that much having to drive 35 minutes to get there, but gas was like 1.80 a gallon. I guess, first I should find out IF I can even get that job back. I don't think that should be a problem, they seemed very excited about giving me my job back over Christmas break and I know they are always hiring people for the summer, so what would be better than hiring a person that already knows what to do?
Now I'm off to pretend I don't care about hurtful things other people do.
