Oh yes, I have it in my grubby little hands...
Shaddup....you know you're reading it too ;)
Also, because I had a 25% off coupon, I got...
Hehehehe, it was such fun at the midnight party. But really, despite appearances, I'm not a fanatic Harry Potter fan. I've read all books once and own four (now five) of them, but I've never been hard core, oh-my-God I can't wait for the next one or anything. I did plan ahead, ordered my book in June when my daddy-o got a 40% off coupon in his email, and decided to just go by Borders before work to get a ticket for distribution. Since it was already around noon, I thought I would get some high number (which I didn't really care about), I just didn't want to be amongst the masses of people sans ticket trying to rush the front of the store come midnight ala Southwest boarding. To my shock, I got number 25! So tonight, there I was being one of the first people in line while tons and tons of utter Potter fans waited behind me. I was rather shocked by some of these people, who claimed to be huge fans and yet hadn't even reserved a copy. They just showed up and were put on a waiting list.
Tonight, I was truly amazed by the power of this one woman, to create something so fascinating that it moves so many children (and adults!) to read and imagine. Kudos, Ms. Rowling.
