So instead of studying for my physics test for tomorrow, or starting an assignment on Maori culture (which needed to be made as a group, but which I ended up doing by myself since nobody else cares and I act like I could do it all when the real things is that I can’t)… what was I saying? Right, instead of doing what I have to I’ve just discovered (and when I say just I mean just now, less than hours ago), what an amazing singer Adam Lambert is.

Okay, so am I completely wrong or just discovered something everybody knew? Because I’m absolutely lost. I mean, here they air Idol Saturdays and Sundays at 9 pm, which means I’m never home to watch it, and now it’s over. Of course I knew what AI was, but truth is, I only saw it as the show that stole away Lost audience in the US. Don’t ask me why but I downloaded Adam Lamberts’ songs and I wasn’t expecting him to sing like this. His cover of “Whole Lotta Love”…. OMFG! That is like… one of my favorite songs ever, and even though no one can sing it or play it like the Zepp, he did not destroy it at all. On the contrary, he rocked it! Maybe he’s just another pretty face boy, but he left me speechless mainly because here whoever comes out of television shows sings so bad that could leave you tone-deaf, so he was a bit of a surprise. I feel bad that they are not going to rerun the American Idol episodes here anymore.

On a different subject, since the influenza here seems to be out of control authorities have decided to close down the schools since next Monday and start the winter holidays two weeks earlier, suppressing the week off we had on Oct. It would be a good measure if I believed that people would take it seriously, and unfortunately I now that the majority won’t. I mean, they suspend classes so that we are not all together and at the risk of spreading the disease more, but I bet many of the guys my age will run to the cinemas or shopping malls the very next Monday, and then, what was it all for? Maybe the government should have taken measures more early, but we as the population should be careful and responsible for ourselves. Let’s hope that by working all together we can help to improve the situation.

On Sunday elections were held here, and as always, it is good to be part of a democratic event. No matter who you went to vote for, if you performed your responsibility as a citizen, my congratulations and thanks for helping democracy keep working. Sorry, the soon to be lawyer/ politics affairs licentiate /diplomat that is in me spoke out.

Since I didn’t go to school yesterday I spent the day crawled up in bed eating chocolate and watching “Becoming Jane” and “Pride and Prejudice”. I haven’t watched the first one, and totally fell in love with James Mcavoy. My friends say I should watch Attoment right away, have any of you seen it?. Anne Hathaway was great too, she portrayed one of my favorite writers in a very good way. I just wish I didn’t know her story with Tom Lefroy before watching the film, cause they were a great couple and I found myself hoping through the entire film they would end up together. But then again, could she have written such stories without the suffering of a lost love?

And now, I leave you again. I should really get back to the Pohiri and Tikanga, because it’s due on Thursday and I haven’t done anything. Playing in my iTunes? you’ve guess it, Adam Lambert.

Way, way down inside
Honey, you need it
I'm gonna give you my love
I'm gonna give you my love

Oh...
Wanna Whole Lotta Love...
