When I saw Critical Mass, that first scene between Rodney and Laura really caught my attention. The look she gave him, the atmosphere, everything just screamed UST at me and made my shippy little heart all pitter patty.
My first fic was Love and War and Snow, in response to a challenge, and they just worked and I fell in love. So I went back to Duet and started to write, filling in the blanks of Rodney and Laura's relationship according to myeself

takes place right after Aurora: The events aboard the Aurora are the final straw for Rodney and all Laura can do is offer comfort.

set after Critical Mass.
Justification
Rodney and Laura try and justify their attraction to each other to themselves.

the sexual tension between them explodes when they go offworld.
