Boston

I just had too much white wine. 2 glasses to be exact. I guess that cup of delicious coffee oreo ice cream isn't enough for me combat my very light weight self. Taking the shuttle into Boston bright and early this morning and seeing the red brick buildings and general East Coast-ness made me giddy and in awe of something so new and different from West Coast life.

Kathy and I roamed the city today in all of its East Coast humid summer glory. The weather got to be a bit much actually. At some point I felt the sleepless night aboard the plane catch up to me. This, in addition to feeling misplaced and all over the place, feeling gross and tired from the heat and loss of sleep. Later on I went by myself to check out some furniture. I got lost but it was great to just be immersed in a different city, just taking it all in. At one point I felt like I was on the Disneyland monorail going into Fantasyland.

Of course, every city has it's downsides. At one point I was impatiently waiting for bus that never seemed to come. And then I got so distracted by my phone call to my friend in NYC that I missed my stop and got harassed by two Mormon girls. Never again.

Our apartment is so lovely! I will post pictures soon. Can't wait until it all comes together.
