My last month in San Francisco

Things I did and places I went to this month so far:

run in Golden Gate Park (I will miss this park!)
party in Bernal Heights
Asian Art Museum for free
SFMOMA for free (the William Kentridge exhibit was amazing)
SF Zoo for free (baby animals! giraffes, tigers, lions, etc)
urban hike to Tank Hill in Cole Valley (beautiful views of SF and the bay)
First Thursday art opening in downtown SF
ate at John's Grill in downtown SF, where the Maltese Falcon was set (delicious steaks)
Contemporary Jewish Museum for free
finally went to the California Academy of Sciences for free (amazing museum, living roof, penguins!, albino aligator! cool planetarium)
ate Humphry Slocombe ice cream (secret breakfast ice cream! dulce de leche! still want to try their fois gras ice cream)
ate pupusas in the Mission
Vernissage (SFAI MFA opening, weird performance art, some good paintings, photos)
ate at a Beatles themed Japanese restaurant in the Inner Richmond
finally went to Alcatraz (really cool audio tour of the prison cells)
Bay-to-Breakers after party (didn't see any bad naked people on the way, thank god)
finally went to Monterey Bay Aquarium (sea otters! seahorses, penguins, sharks!)

So I've been taking advantage of the free museum days and doing all the things I've wanted to do but never got around to, favorite things that I wanted to do one last time, and eating at all the places that I've wanted to eat at before I leave this amazing city. There's just so much to do and not enough time. Last month we went camping in beautiful Mendocino, north of San Francisco.

Andrew and I will be having a going away good-bye BBQ in Dolores Park with all of our friends and family from the Bay.
