New York, New York

NYC is really fun. I've met so many different folks on my trip to Boston and NYC, it's awesome. Last night I went to a karaoke bar with Tom and his friends in the East Village called Sing Sing. We sang "New York, New York" together. Before that Tom and I had niu rou mien (beef noodle soup) at this place near his apartment.

Today we hit up the Cloisters, an extension of the Metropolitan Museum of Art that contains medieval art and architecture. After that we went to Serendipity and had their famous frozen hot chocolate and another dessert that was too decadent to finish. Then we went on the cable car to Roosevelt Island.

Update on schools:

Rejections: Yale, Hunter, UC Berkeley, Royal Academy, Columbia, University of Washington, CSULB
Interviews: Massachusetts College of Art and Design (3/17/09)
Acceptances: School of the Museum of Fine Arts (Interviewed 3/7/09)
Still have yet to hear from the rest.

I was a bit surprised that the University of Washington and CSULB rejected me. They were my safety schools. Huh.

Tomorrow I will hit up the Met and other good stuff.
