So it's my birthday this Sunday. On Valentine's. [Yes, that's the actress' actual birthday. What a coincidence.]I had a friend named Valentine where I came from. In that dream world. If he were here during all those events he'd probably lock himself in his room, and, I don't know. Hide, maybe, or just keep himself entertained. Or he'd do something ( Read more... )

It sounds like you were very fond of him. I hope you get to see Valentine soon, Miss Helena.

If it's your birthday, we should do something fun to celebrate. And I should get you something too, is there anything you want?

Well, I wouldn't say fond. It's more like he... well, we got to do a lot of stuff together. [Yeah, she's in denial.]

To be honest I don't know what I want for my birthday. Although if we could practice something for the circus that day, I'd really like it.

Haha, the way you peak about him... To me, it seems like he's someone very important to you. He certainly sounds like a character, do you mind if I ask how he rescued you?

Of course, we can practice whatever you'd like.

Yeah, he's a character all right. I'm sure the crowd would find him entertaining for hours, talking about his tower and things like that.

Well... I was trapped with this Queen, but not the one here. She had kidnapped me and sort of got into my head. Made it so that I wasn't me anymore. Then Valentine came along, and he helped me remember who I really was. By juggling with me.

It's an odd story, I know.

That's... A bit odd yes, but I'm used to odd stories. If he cared enough to find you and knew you well enough to get through to you, it sounds like he cares about you just as much.

Does that sort of thing happen often to you? Your world, is it dangerous?

No, not really. He was the one who sold me out to the Queen in the first place. For a handful of rubies. [There's some bitterness in her voice.]

No, that was the first time something like that happened. It was all sort of a dream.

He was? Ah... That's very horrible. But he came back for you, didn't he? He changed his mind, so he must feel something for you to risk coming back.

A dream... Well, that's good. Your world is safer than most in that case.

Guilt, maybe. I guess he just didn't want it hanging on his conscience.

Yeah.

Considering how dangerous this queen sounds, I think it's more than just a guilty conscience. Although, I suppose I don't know Valentine, you'd be the best judge of character. Still, it'd be nice to give him the benefit of the doubt.
