[Accidental Video]

[Helena had been avoiding most of the decorations. She knew she'd be really embarrassed if she started singing out of key or something. But when she accidentally touched some lights and started glowing yellow, she figured that it was pretty amusing. So she had gone to find Alfred and was showing him.]

See look. My hands and even my hair. [She held up a few strands of her hair, showing him and grinning.]

[America has been wandering around, doing the exact opposite of Helena. He's been touching everything to see what kind of effect it had.

He knows what the wreaths do, and he's not mentioning it. Ever.]

Cool! These are so awesome! I wonder what other colors you can turn.. [He.. jingles, yes, because he got into the bells as well. The tinsel effect unfortunately wore off by this point, because seriously he'd want them all at once. Maybe he'll try that.] I wanna try!

[He ought to be red, blue, white and SPARKLING. Just like the American flag in all those movies.] It's nothing compared to what you've got. Heh. [Staring at her feet sheepishly, but still grinning.] I saw some mistletoe earlier. I don't want to know what happens with that. I mean, uh, it would be funny. If it, you know, happened to someone else.

[America's too busy looking at some lights. And seriously, he's like.. poking it. Mostly the wires, because the bulbs could be hot, and he doesn't want to hurt his finger. :| Nothing happens so obviously its the bulbs. He looks over at her, jingling with every movement.] Nonsense! We should see if we can get everything to happen at once! [And he touches the lights and glows blue. How appropriate, right? Not as cool as sparkling, but still.] There's mistletoe, too? Huh. I haven't seen any of that.. The wreaths you have to watch out for..

[Hmm. He was ignoring her.] ...Right. Hey, you're blue! Although I did sort of like the sparkling more. It seemed more like you. [She edges away from a wreath that's a few feet away, the ribbons twitching menacingly.] Why, what's wrong with the wreaths? It can't be much worse than your singing, right? [Cheeky grin here.]

Hey! So I am! I miss the sparkling, too, though. Oh well, we can always find more tinsel! [Uhh. Hmm.] They, um. Kind of tie you up. [He eyes one suspiciously. But he huffs with a grin and folds his arms.] Hey! My singing's awesome! You should try it! I don't remember what I touched, but I believe the singing came from one of the decorations! We could try to find it, as I wanna hear you sing!

And you know about the wreaths how, exactly? Well, I can guess. It seems like the kind of thing you'd get yourself into. [Ahaha, no. Just, no. She backs away from him.] No. Definitely not. I don't sing. Besides, how do you know it was one of the decorations? Maybe it really was just you. [And with a teasing finger pointed at him.]

Someone posted about it, obviously! Give me some credit! [Which isn't entirely a lie. Someone did. But yes, it was something he'd get himself into.

And he's totally 'advancing' on her, still grinning.] Oh come on! Don't be a whimp! Just one song!

Uh huh. That seems so much more likely. And I'm not being a wimp! I just don't think anyone would really like it. [Still backing away from him, hands up to keep him away. She's grinning though.] H-hey. Don't do anything stupid.

Like what? Make you touch a decoration that'll make you sing 'Deck the Halls'? [Oh good, like this, they won't see if anything's hiding on the ceilings. Like the mistletoe they've been trying to avoid.]

[Oh, we do so love being evil.] If you do that I swear I'm sending you a wreath for Christmas. And then I'll tell Japan all about it, so he can take pictures. [She edges past the mistletoe (which is actually a parasitic plant. Oops, did I just ruin Christmas?). She avoids it by centimeters, without actually ever seeing it. Lucky her. So far, anyway.]

[Yes, yes we are.] If you touch it, you'll be trapped by it! So go ahead! Try! [I believe it's poisonous, too. Oh well. Lucky for her, America's taller, moves more, and is wearing a jacket that takes up more space. And so he does brush against it, entirely not aware of it. And kind of stops approaching, and kind of blinks at her.] ...

[Actually, I think her luck ran out right then. She stops too, eyebrow raised. Her back is against the wall now, out of space.] ...What's wrong?

I.. don't know.. [He makes a face, as if he's thinking hard about something.. before he leans in and kisses her on the lips. And she can't go anywhere, so too bad so sad.]

[Her face falls as he leans in.] Hey, what are you- [She has no idea about anything anymore. She's trying to lean away, slightly, but she can't and then he kisses her. She freezes; her arms stay at her side, her eyes wide, and she just lets him. AHH, teenage love.]

[It doesn't last long, because soon it's over and America's brain goes rgkjhdsgkjfdhgkfdf. He pulls back, his eyes wide, and takes a step back. Ahhhh nooo conflicting feelings whyyyy] Wh-wh-oh, I-I didn't mean.. I'm so sorry!

[Too bad, America. She was just about to start kissing back when he pulls away. When he does, she looks down at her glowing yellow shoes, suddenly finding them very interesting.] You... You didn't mean... [Shuffling her feet now, and shaking her head to clear it from the confusion.]

[Oh great. There goes a chance at some make outs. America is trying not to flail because great now Helena's being confusing. Why can't he say anything ever to minimize the situation?] It's not that I didn't mean to kiss you! I mean, I didn't intend to.. at that moment.. without asking you first!

Oh. [She breaks out into a grin now, although she's still staring down.] I would have, uhh... [She swallows, trying to force down the lump in her throat. Her hand goes up to her hair, tugging it.] You know, said yes. [Giggling now, because she's embarrassed and shy. She looks up at him.] If you had asked.

Really?! [Yeah this is all sorts of awkward. But for some reason hearing that makes him happy, and he doesn't know why. He shuffles his feet a bit, grinning as well.] Could I... uhh.. kiss you again? Maybe? [After all, it wasn't like they were being watched or anything.]

It's that hard to believe? [She's watching her feet again, because she hadn't expected him to ask immediately. She giggles again, then tries her best to be serious and not laugh.] I... I guess, yeah.

Well, n-no, I didn't mean it like that, I was just.. [He rubs the back of his neck. Awkwaaaard. It doesn't help that they're both still glowing. But asking makes the first time seem less fail at least. He looks at her, and tries not to grin either. Yes, serious time. This is serious business.

He leans in to kiss her again, just as the video feed times out.]

[ooc: This is on one of those wall mounted camera things that turn on at inconvenient times. Also! Red is Helena and Blue is America.]

don't tell me you didn't see that coming, people going kookoo
