Crater lake was absolutely amazing. The colour of the water is beyond my ability to describe.
My apron dress for Crown is nearly done. I only need to finish the handsewing on the hems. The under dress may not be happening, but I have a fair amount of others to wear. Not such a big issue. And remember to pack the broaches and beads and other Norse accoutrements. And I am hoping to make a new fighting shirt for the boy. The previous one is really ratty and long past its sell by date.
Got yet another batch of thank you, but no thank you letters today. Eventually that magic job will appear.
We got the van back late Friday afternoon. And it is costing an arm and a leg to repair.
I am currently taking stock of the various projects and ideas I have floating around. And the research projects that needs to be written up. And the prep work for the classes I am teaching at Roving to Raiment. Fortunately for Knitting I am only the co-teacher so work gets split. And the hand out for the Blackwork class needs to be reworked. I am going to make a determined this winter to get at least some of these UFO's done as I have promised the boy.
This week our mornings start really early. At something like 4:30. They are repaving the parking lot at Robert''s work. In order to accommodate both shifts his shift starts at six. The good news is that it means he gets home an hour earlier. So we can leave for Crown on Friday fairly early.
My dad officially retires Friday. In some ways it is kind of scary. I have never really thought of them as old enough to retire.
