I got my new glasses on Thursday and thus far it had not been a happy experience.  I have been trying the new ling distance ones since Friday evening and so far everything is still fuzzy and blurry.  And I discovered Friday night that all lights in the dark have a corona around them. Car lights, traffic lights, even our porch light.

Do your new glasses correct for astigmatism? 'Cause I have that corona thing too. My glasses correct my stigmatism, my contacts do not. Toric contact lenses are very spendy.

The long and short of it the optician blames the lens cutter, but someone messed up. Apart from some other issues it is also not correcting my astigmatism.

Gee! What you won't do to avoid the BD pary cookout with the nephews! ;-) Just kidding ... although 10 pre-teens and "food" and fire, I wonder...

Friday night was great! I'm all for Friends and Food, I guess. Doesn't say much for my likelyhood of losing weight, sadly.

I heard the fighter turnout was low at the demo which was too bad. I will admit guilt to pulling away ONE fighter only, Berek, as he and Liesel came up to the party.

We missed you guys on Saturday! It was fun, even when it descended into watching videos of Crown Finals from Atenveldt, somewhere else and An Tir, with humorous commentary from everyone. (Especially the dukes!) Sort of like SCA Theater 3000. Then it descended even further to watching YouTube videos, and eventually folks started leaving. There was lots of food and beer, lots of laughter!

There were only four fighters at the Demo, Berengar, Nemo, Bjorkie (I think that is how it is spelled) and Aleyn. They had a great time although more fighters would have been nice. There were a few stretches where nothing happened because all the fighters had run out of steam.

I am sorry we missed Saturday night, but family called....
