Good part. I was a little "what now?" when I saw the intro. Simply because I hated the way Seth ignored all of Ryan's wishes and likings on his birthday and really didn't know how and why you would turn that event into a cool thing Seth did for Ryan.
But with reminding us on the mistakes Seth made and have him make up for them you managed it.
(I totally hated Seth during that episode. And during the Barmitzvakah one as well. And don't get me started on this week's ep... sigh. I wish we could get season 1 Seth back).
Thanks, themus! (and yes, there were many missed opportunities with that episode. Honestly, it wasn't even funny... It was just an insult to the viewers' intelligence.)
And in case you were wondering, no, I'm never letting that birthday thing go.
And I'm so glad you don't, because this was beautiful. I hated how all of the Cohens were bashing Ryan for not having any friends. Thanks for giving him the birthday party he deserves. I'm a big fan of Cohen family dinners.
Then, they watched that shark movie they should have gone to, more than two years earlier That IMAX shark movie? Sometimes Seth is a genius - or you are for remembering the movie and bringing it up. Thanks for sharing!
Heee, I don't know where the IMAX movie thing came from, but I thought it would pretty cool for SEth to do this... I hated how the Cohens treated Ryan as well--especially since we've seen, time and again, that people are drawn to Ryan, and that he can very good at throwing bridges between people who wouldn't gotten to know each others without him. Would SEth have spent a summer in Portland with Luke if Ryan hadn't been around? Allow me to doubt it...
I agree with kat, themus, and yessi this was a much better than the acual episode. I remember foolishly getting my hopes up for this one and being severely disappointed again. Your version is sweet, simple, and perfect. Thank you.
Thanks, anne. (You're giving me too much credit. Anything would be better than the actual episode, lol. It was just too horrible for words. The more I think about it, the more I hate it. I should let it go...)
