A bit hard to answer, but I know I would've been called Thomas if I would've been a boy (Thomas, incidentally, is also the name of one of my original characters. If you ever see him show up in fanfic, you can slap me because he's very nearly a self-insert). I'm rather fond of Ilona, but I don't ever want to be called Hélène or Helen. I don't have anything against either name, but they're just not me.
There's also Maya, but she's another character of mine (I tend to give all the names I like to my characters).
Oh, and of course there's my Chinese name, Guo Wei Heng (郭蔚恒). Means 'Forever Sky Blue'.

In other news, I'm back from London, and it was pretty awesome like always (I love London so much, I just can't help it). Got the Merlin DVDs, because I can't find them here and with the value of the pound so low, I'd be stupid not to go buy them. Also found Chinatown for the first time. It's really a nice place to be, but too many restaurants there for my liking ^^
Oh, and I'm a 'Good girl' for knowing Mandarin xD
Other random observations:
- I kinda want an Oyster card but it's absolutely ridiculous to get one because I'm only in London once or twice a year. That said, I like Tube stations. My favourite's Piccadilly Circus. Tottenham Court Road makes me feel claustrophobic though.
- I really like Leicester Square but I'm not fond of Covent Garden.
- People think I'm American. Yeah. At least now I know what my accent sounds like, but I still thought I sounded distinctly Flemish.
- We Will Rock You (the musical) is great, but not as good as Wicked.
- That said, who needs plot when you can just sing Queen songs at the top of your voice?
- Small children like me too much for my own good. I've had one trailing me through the entire hotel.
- Speaking of hotels, those key card thingies suck. I never manage to open the door.
- I'm still somewhat creeped out if people address me with 'love' or 'darling'. This seems to be a pretty common way of addressing people (someone confirm this for me?) but yeah, it freaks me out, it sounds way too intimate coming from a total stranger.
