I got back from my camping trip a few weeks ago; it was easily the best science class I've ever taken. It was fun (although rather colder than I expected), I learned a lot and it didn't require hardly any work. I've always had an uncanny ability to get into the easiest classes and I've never been more happy with the results.

Anyway, I've spent the last couple of weeks working on cosplay stuff. My Xellos costume is about halfway done. I've got most of everything I need for it, I just have to finish working on the cloak and staff now.

Because I'm a Potter freak and the 6th book is coming out in roughly 11 days, 8 hours and about 29 minutes, I'm having a HBP release party at my house on July 15th. It's pretty small thus far, as I don't know very many other people who are as obsessed with the books as I am, but if anyone is interested in coming let me know. We'll basically be watching the movies, reading parts of the previous books and some fanfiction and then picking up our copy of the book at the Barnes and Noble midnight release, then spending the rest of the night reading it.

Mostly out of boredom and just because we're obsessive like that, Rose and I made Slytherin student costumes. It's nothing too fancy, but they did come together pretty well for something that we made in just one day. It's also a little bizarre just how much fun they are to wear- I never really thought of myself as the pleated grey skirt and knee-highs type. But hey, if the socks fit...

Other than that, I've pretty much just been busy with classes, which are too depressing to think about on a holiday, so perhaps I'll rant about them another time. This summer is probably going to be one of the least exciting I've ever had, what with school and job hunting and everything. But at least I've only got a couple of months left until I'm done - which even now seems a little hard to believe.

So that's about it for now. Happy 4th of July to my fellow Americans out there! Have fun, and try not to get so smashed that you light your neighbors' trees on fire (not that that's ever happened to me or anything...).
