I was definitely aiming for a childlike naivety with Yixing, where he was kind of oblivious about the differences between the human world and his own. And I think Luhan likes being frustrated by Yixing, he likes a challenge. ; ) Chen and Baekhyun are Yixing's brothers, yes! This fic was originally more than twice as long and Chen was a huge part of the plot (and so was Zufran), but the longer version had alot of problems and I didn't have enough time to work through them all (I write very very slowly), so a lot of things I had planned had to be cut. Actually every exo member was involved somehow (I was desperate to keep Yixing's dad in the story ; ; ) and Yixing stayed over a month and minseok had herpes. That was important, too. ; )
Yixing is my bias and I enjoy all the different facets of him and I really like writing something a little out of the ordinary. Layhan in my head are always playful and dumb and getting into trouble together. I wanted to get Luhan more involved in the fun, but it didn't really work out. My favorite layhan moments are when they smile at each other or make each other laugh, so I like to write moments like those.

At this point, Yixing is technically a demon child set loose in the human world, so I hope Lu Han never tires of challenges LOL. Aww man, those parts you cut out sound like they'd be enjoyable to read, too bad you weren't able to include them u__u But it's understandable because you were writing with limited time. Have you ever thought of releasing them as separate drabbles [as opposed to expanding the original], or will they stay hidden forever? ^^; [I am especially curious about the Zufran; I don't know what you planned, but Lu Han fanboying and shipping himself shamelessly with Zac Efron would be priceless LOL. But Minseok and herpes?? Oh my O_O]
Your efforts definitely paid off by trying something new; this fic will attest to that ^^ Nothing wrong in having your ego stroked every once in a while; what's important for me is that my comment made you happy, so that makes me happy in return, too ^o^

Because the plot of the fic changed quite a bit, most of the parts I wrote are useless now and wouldn't make alot of sense. :( but I do have a tiny idea for a sequel! I seriously write very very slowly, so I don't know if it will ever materialize, but Yixing's father finds out he's dating a human and forces him to come back to the demon dimension and Luhan is dragged along while Yixing's dad sets Yixing up on some "proper demon" dates.
I found a little part cut out of the fic that mentioned more Zac Efron, but really they spent alot of time talking about the poster and the.... entertainment.... factor of it and Yixing at one point tried to sing some High School Musical songs to get into Luhan's pants? It was a really fun fic to write, but I quite studiously wrote it for weeks, especially as the deadline drew near, and your comments on it really make me feel like all my effort (oh god why do I put so much effort into a light-hearted comedy ; ; ) was really worth it. Thank you so so much. ♡♡

"Why do you have to be so contrary all the time, my son?"
"It might have something to do with being raised by a controlling, egomaniac, psychopath!" Yixing says, his eyes glowing. He pushes past Luhan, his nose in the air. It's the most angry Luhan has ever seen him and he'd be quite proud of Yixing for standing up to his dad, if only he wasn't afraid that they're about to be carted off to a giant-sized iron maiden (he still can’t figure out how that would work).
"I’m gonna kill you, you ungrateful brat!" the Demon Overlord shouts, jumping off the couch and hurling himself at Yixing. Jongin dives between them, holding Yixing's father back.
"You can't kill me, you need me," Yixing spits out, "When you get old and lame, who is going to preserve your legacy by murdering you in your sleep and usurping your throne? Baekhyun? That slimy weasel wouldn't last a week before being overthrown. And Jongdae would think it's funny to let you grow weak and senile in public. Face it, I'm your only possible heir. Unless you want to take your chances again with a female demon and try for another kid...?"
Yixing's father shudders,the painful memories of creating his three children hauntingly reflected in his eyes. He relaxes in Jongin's grip, slinking back to his cushion on the couch.
"Okay, fine, I see your point, you little shit. But just because I can't off you doesn't mean I can't hurt you. I see how you care for this human. I can make things bad for him. Real bad."
Yixing's face shifts from self-assured to worried. He sneaks a glance at Luhan before turning back to his dad. "You wouldn't."
The Demon Overlord smirks. "Manchester United will never win another game! Zac Efron will get kind of pauchy and lose his hair!"
"Zufran," Yixing whispers, "You can't, dad, that will kill Luhan. Much more effectively than dumbass Jongin managed!"
Jongin looks put out but Luhan can’t muster up any sympathy for him. Demons, honestly.
"I'm the goddamn Demon Overlord," Yixing's father says, puffing out his chest, "Killing humans is my deliciously salty bread and butter! Get your ass back home, Yixing, or watch me destroy everything your little human loves."

A sequel? *O* I'd like to read it if you do decide to write it, but if you decide not to, it's still okay because the fic is good enough as a standalone already. I don't think there's anything wrong in being slow in writing; all writers work differently anyway, the most important thing is that you're writing. So even if it's just one or a few sentences a day, it still counts ^^
LOL at Yixing singing HSM songs to Lu Han, what if he even plays the guitar or the keyboard while he's at it, or improvises by using his own lyrics to the melody of any of the songs? I don't think Lu Han can say no to that even if it's obvious Yixing's just doing it to get laid. Your efforts really, really paid off in this fic; it's obvious in the way you wrote this, along with the love you've poured into it, so please take pride in that! ^o^
Thank you for sharing a snippet! I'm cackling at everyone involved, now we know where Yixing got his stubbornness from LOL. The way his dad is written here makes me think of Baekhyun and Chen combined but with a bratty streak ^^; I'm guessing Jongin is the right-hand man [er, demon] or a retainer of some sort of the Demon Overlord? I do wonder what the Demon Overlord has up his sleeve to make Lu Han's life miserable. [The worst he can probably do is pull a juvenile prank on Lu Han by turning him into a girl to disprove his insistence of being manly or something, ahahaha ^^;]
