Ben really had an excuse as to why he was driving past Haley and Jordan's place on campus. Ok, maybe not really, but is WAS on his way home. If you took the long, scenic route.
He remembered her telling him that she had a performance tomorrow, and seeing both her and Jordan's cars parked in the lot, he stopped a moment, then pulled out his cell phone.
"Hey Mom... yeah, I know I'm on the road but I have a question... I've got two friends who I think are stuck in town and can't go home. Yeah... yeah? Awesome. I'll ask them and see if they are game. Thanks Mom. See you in two hours at the most."
Hanging up the phone, he looked up at the dorm window as he stepped out of the car and dialed Haley's number.
Haley lifted her head off Jordan's shoulder at the feel of her phone ringing, looking down at the caller ID. A small smile crossed her face when she saw who it was, and she ignored the nosy look she was getting from Jordan as she shifted to place the phone to her ear.
"So I think there was something I forgot to mention about me. I refuse to leave town when I know I have friends who aren't able to go home for the holidays." Ben smiled, looking up at their window.
"And since I see both yours and Jordan's cars outside, I'm assuming that I can't leave town yet."
"Maybe," she said with a sigh as she sat up a bit, turning around so that she could look out the window, and smiled a little more when she spotted Ben's car in the driveway. "What exactly do you plan to do about it?"
