Put 15 songs from your library on shuffle and write who they make you think of.

1. Betterman by Pearl Jam-This song reminds me of Aaron. "Waiting, watching the clock it's four o'clock, it's got to stop. Tell him, take no more, she practices her speech as he opens the door. She rolls over, pretends to sleep as he looks her over. She lies and says she's in love with him..."

2. Marching Bands of Manhattan by Death Cab for Cutie-Emily and drives out to Corning.

3. Here's To The Night by Eve 6-My 8th Grade class, because this was our graduation song.

4. Please Stay by Warren Zevon-Matthew, because I listened to it a lot on the way to the hospital when he was born.

5. One Day More from Les Mis-My brother, because he took me to see Les Mis in Boston junior year. It was part of the Broadway in Boston series, and I had always loved musical theater, but had never seen much more than regional theater stuff, so it was awesome.

6. I'm Moving On by Rascal Flatts-this song doesn't really make me think of anyone, except myself, because it's kind of what I'm going through right now. "I've dealt with my ghosts and I've faced all my demons. Finally content with a past I regret. I've found you find strength in your moments of weakness. For once, I'm at peace with myself. I've been burdened with blame and trapped in the past for too long, and I'm moving on...I'm moving on, at last I can see, life has been patiently waiting for me, and I know there's no guarantees, but I'm not alone." Thank god for that.

7. Babylon by David Gray. Aaron again, and what I went through after our breakup. "Well looking back through time you know it's clear that I've been blind, I've been a fool, to open up my heart to all that jealousy, that bitterness, that ridicule."

8. One step Up-Kenny Chesney. Holy shit, this is Aaron night. "It's the same thing night on night, who's wrong and baby who's right, another fight that I slammed the door on, another battle in our dirty little war."

9. What Hurts the Most-Rascal Flatts. Certain people from senior year. "What hurts the most was being so close and having so much to say, and watching you walk away, and never knowing what could have been."

10. The Only Living Boy in New York by Simon and Garfunkel-Kayleigh, because she introduced me to it, and now it's one of my favorite songs. "I can gather all the news I need on the weather report. Hey, I've got nothing to do today but smile"

11. Ride With Me-Nelly. Ryan and Jeff love this song.

12. Without You from Rent (the movie, not the OBC). This reminds me of my grandmother. "The world revives, colors renew, but I know blue, only blue, lonely blue, within me blue, without you...life goes on, but I'm gone, cuz I die without you." Clearly one of the best songs of loss there is, because most songs talk about how the world stopped and stuff like that because they lost someone they love, but that's really not how it is, because the world does go on, and when you lose someone you love, nothing is affected except you and the other people who knew them. It's just so real

13. Reelin' in the Years by Steely Dan. Hehe, Kari. "did you have enough to eat? would you like some more of mine?" Best lyrics interpretation ever.

14. La Vie Boheme B from Rent. Haha, I'll never forget me and Kays trying to learn the words to this. To Dance! la la la la la masochism la la la eating disorders! Film! la la la la la la la la la hollywood and sleaze! blah blah blah blah to faggots, lezzies, dykes, crossdressers too..but now we've mastered it.

15. Blue Sky by the Allman Brothers. Matthew! "You're my blue sky, you're my sunny day"
